Wooly Bully is a song based on the progress bar blues 12, made famous by Sam the Sham and the Pharaohs in 1965. As Pharaohs ready to write their first album, the singer Sam the Sham wanted to write a tribute to the dance Hully Gully. Although the Wooly Bully single never reached the No. 1 national rankings, remained on the Hot 100 and then the impressive 18 weeks. It was the registration is not only topping the Billboard Hot 100 is the name Number One Record of the Year , and then 35 years, until Faith Hill Breathe and Lifehouse’s Moment Dependent feat repeated in 2000 and 2001.
