Always On My Mind

“Always on My Mind ” is a strain originally recorded by Brenda Lee. Allmusic itemize over 300 recorded releases of the strain in versions by dozens of performers. At the 25th Grammy Awards held in 1983, the songwriters won Grammy Awards for Song of the Year and Best Country Song; in addition, Willie Nelson’s recording won for Best Male Country Vocal Performance. Elvis Presley recorded his version of  “Always on My Mind ” on March 29, 1972. The strain became a huge hit, reaching Gold status in the U.S for sales of over half a million copies.
