Rodgers And Hart

Rodgers and Hart songs were composed by American partnership composer Richard Rodgers (1902 1979) and lyricist Lorenz Hart (1895, 1943). They worked together in about thirty musicals from 1919 until the death of Hart in 1943. Their success came in 1925, Garrick entertainment, which included the hit song  Manhattan.Lover by Rodgers And Hart Their successes are many other  Here In My Arms ,  Green Mountain , Blue Room My heart stopped,  You told me,  ten cents, Dance, Dancing on the Ceiling  Spring is here,   Lover   Mimi,  is not romantic?   Blue Moon  It’s easy to remember the Most Beautiful Girl In The World, My Romance, Little Girl Blue, There is a small hotel, I Wish I Were In Love Again where and when  My Funny Valentine,   Johnny One Note  Lady is a Tramp,  Have you met Miss Jones?  This Can not Love,  Falling In Love With Love, Bewitched, worried and puzzled,  I could write a book,  and  wait to see her. Their songs have long been favorites, cabaret singers and jazz artists. Hart’s lyrics, too simple, vulgar, glaring, sometimes playful, sometimes melancholy, the standard Broadway songwriter. Rodgers, as the creator of melodies, ranks with Jerome Kern and Irving Berlin. Their shows are a time when musicals were journal-description and booklets were just excuses for turns comic and musical realism. However, since the duo’s songs were a step forward, so the team tries to raise the musical form in general. This Yankee (1927) is based on the novel by Mark Twain, and the sons of Syracuse (1938) by William Shakespeare The Comedy of Errors. Pal Joey (1940), it is often the best show of the book by New Yorker writer John O Hara – customize your stories – and report the name of the person who is a heel.  Thus, the portrait has been adamant that the famous critic Brooks Atkinson called for in his opinion,  Although it is masterfully done, how can you draw from freshwater fault is it? When the show was revived in 1952 had audiences learned to accept and enjoy the darkest material on Broadway (Thanks in large part the work of Rodgers Oscar Hammerstein) and the public found it easier to handle. The new production was significantly longer than the original. Atkinson, being revitalized, said his initial decision was wrong. Comparisons between Rodgers and Hart and his team of Rodgers and Hammerstein successor are inevitable. Hammerstein lyrics hot project, optimism and sincere corniness casual. Hart lyrics shown on the most advanced, the increased use of explicit verbal skills and more than York  New  or  Broadway  sensitivity. Archetypal Rodgers and Hart song  Manhattan  rhymes  , a toy big city beautiful / just had a girl and a boy  is the first line, then resumes with  glow in the city, you can never spoil / dream boy and Goil past.   Many of the songs ( Falling in Love with Love, Little Girl Blue, My Funny Valentine ) is a melancholy or sad and emotional ambivalence seems to be detectable in the background songs even brighter. For example,  You used the Me  seems to be an evocation of the joy of love, but the name itself the question whether the relationship is mutual or exploitation.
