Bob Montgomery

Bob Montgomery (May 12, born 1937) is a singer, composer and music producer  editor. Montgomery was born in Lampasas, Texas. He was a partner and best friend to write songs by Buddy Holly, making music together as the duo  Buddy and Bob  while teenagers in high school. First, they played a lot of bluegrass music, the rockabilly sound has developed.

Bob Montgomery, Buddy Holly meets Hutchison Jr. High in 1949. They met and began playing together with schools and local radio programs. Interestingly, Bob has sung and harmonized Buddy. They soon had a weekly radio show on Sunday KDAV station. On 14 October 1955, Bill Haley and the Comets was a concert in the auditorium at the fairground. Eddie Crandall, director of Marty Robbins, spoke with Pappy Dave Stone, the owner of KDAV and said he is interested in Holly as a soloist. Holly’s career began after their demonstrations were accepted everywhere. Bob wrote a few songs of Holly like  Heartbeat ,  Wishing  and  Love is a fool you,  and the new standard Misty Blue. He also wrote  Back in Baby’s Arms  by Patsy Cline, his son Kevin Montgomery has recently started on his album  True
