Rurouni Kenshin

Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Swordsman Romantic history (?????? ???????, Ruro nine Kenshin Meiji Kenkaku Romantan?) Is a Japanese manga written and illustrated by Nobuhiro Watsuki. The fictional setting takes place at the beginning of the Meiji period in Japan. This is the story of an assassin named Kenshin Himura fictitious, formerly known as "Hitokiri Battus" (???????, Or "Battus layer Man" in the English dub), who becomes a vagabond to protect the population in Japan. Being a fan of the Shinsengumi, Watsuki designed the characters by basing their characteristics to the real Shinsengumi members and also used fictional representation of them and other historical figures of the Bakumatsu period in Japan. The manga was published in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jumpstart for September 2, 1994, to November 4, 1999. Completion tankobon consists of 28 volumes. U.S. release manga has been completed by Viz Media. Rurouni Kenshin, is subtitled "Wandering Samurai emissions of some 'English, a rough translation of" ni Ruro "(??, back. "Wandering"?). English versions of the ova and the movie was released in Samurai X although the original name was accompanied by a DVD. Writer Kaoru Shizuka has written an official Rurouni Kenshin novel titled trip to the World. The novel has been translated by Viz and distributed in the United States and Canada. Many video games are also released for PlayStation and PlayStation 2 with the Rurouni Kenshin: Enjo! Kyoto Rinne selling over 130,000 copies of the set is very popular in Japan, America and Europe. manga has sold over 47 million copies in Japan since 2007, when the anime is ranked among the 100 and most watched series in Japan on several occasions.
