Kiss The Girl

Kiss the Girl  is an Oscar-nominated calypso from 1989 Disney animated film The Little Mermaid  composed by Alan Menken with lyrics by Howard Ashman. In the film, the song was directed by Samuel E. Wright. He was nominated for an Oscar for best song with another song from the movie,  Under the Sea , which eventually won.  At the time of the movie where they sing this song, Ariel has been transformed into a human being Ursula, but can not speak. Except Ariel finds her true love, Prince Eric to kiss her within three days is over, will turn back into a mermaid and Ursula will be yours. Although both are sitting in a boat on a lake, Sebastian, Flounder and sabotage to try to get Ariel and Eric kiss so Ariel will become human permanently. Howard Ashman

Howard Ashman (May 17, 1950 to March 14, 1991) is a playwright and lyricist of American film music. Ashman first studied at Boston University and Goddard College (with a stop at the Summer Theatre at Tufts University) and then get your MBA from Indiana University in 1974. He collaborated with Alan Menken on several films, including animation for Disney, Ashman writing the lyrics and Menken composing the scores. Ashman, Howard Ashman Elliott was born into a Jewish family in Baltimore, Maryland, and was the artistic director of the WPA Theater in New York. His work, confirmation came in 1979 McCarter Theater in Princeton and starred Herschel Bernardi. He first worked with Alan Menken on a 1979 musical adapted from Kurt Vonnegut God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater. They have also collaborated on Little Shop of Horrors with Ashman as director, lyricist, librettist y. Ashman was director, lyricist and bookwriter 1986 Broadway musical, Smile (music by Marvin Hamlisch). Also in 1986, Ashman wrote the screenplay for Frank Oz directed the film adaptation of the musical, Little Shop of Horrors (film), too.
