Lennie Tristano

Leonard Joseph Tristano (19 March1919 – 18 November 1978) was a jazz pianist and composer. To perform its cool jazz, bebop, post bop and avant-garde jazz genres. He is a bit  forgotten figure in jazz history, but his enormous originality and a great improviser working long appreciated jazz fans informed, in addition to his work on jazz teacher meant that it caused a significant indirect influence on jazz through figures like Lee Konitz and Bill Evans. Tristan was born in Chicago in an Italian family immigrated Aversa. He was blind in his childhood, and studied piano and music theory of pre-teen years, graduated American Conservatory of his hometown in 1943. Tristan interest in jazz inspired the move to New York in 1946. His thorough understanding of harmony driven music, even the complicated movement modern bebop, although Tristano has always been clear about the recognition of its enormous debt to Charlie Parker and Bud Powell. (Other important elements of his style was Nat King Cole and Art Tatum, influences most audible in his early trio recordings drummerless.) Although he and his supporters were on something of an inclined plane to incorporate bebop , Tristano had the opportunity to play and record with eminent personalities like bebop Dizzy Gillespie and Charlie Parker. Often, Tristano school has been contrasted with bebop, however, be labeled as  cool jazz , but this risk on its concept of independent music with styles such as West Coast cool jazz in the 1950s.
