Gary Burton

Gary Burton (born January 23, 1943, Anderson, Indiana) is an American jazz vibraphonist. True original vibraphone, Burton developed the style piano four-mallet technique as an alternative to the usual two clubs. This approach caused Burton provided a reformer, and his voice and technique are many variations. It is also known as a pioneer of jazz fusion and dissemination in the form of a duet with jazz, and is also a central figure in jazz education. Burton is an important sign of the few openly gay musicians in jazz history, and stated that his coming out of his 40-had no negative consequences for his career.
