Regina Spektor was born on 18 February 1980) is an American Jewish composer in the Soviet Union and pianist. His music is associated with anti-folk scene centered in New York this Village. Spektor born in Moscow, USSR (now Russia), a family of Jewish musicians. His father, Ilya Spektor, is a photographer and amateur violinist. His mother, Bella Spektor, was a music teacher in a school of Russian music, and now teaches at a public elementary school in Mount Vernon, New York.Spektor learned to play the piano practicing on a Petrof has been given to her mother his grandfather.
