Miss Independent is a Grammy Award song American pop B singer Ne-Yo. It is the second single from her album of the year Gentleman and was produced by Stargate. It samples the song  Forget About Me  by Little Bit. The song was written by Ne-Yo and co-written by Stargate. It was released as a music download, 26 August 2008 and physical release in September 2008. The video for  Miss Independent  was shot with director Chris Robinson Monday, Aug. 11, 2008 in Santa Monica, California. It featured guests Keri Hilson, Gabrielle Union, Lauren London and Trey Songz. He begins by Ne-Yo as an entrepreneur on his way to office by the office of his employee. When he goes by different clerks (played by various singers) says hello to Ne-Yo, who seem to ignore, as it is attracted by its employee. The video continues with Ne-Yo to a meeting to get interuppted sound.
